About Your Optometrist in Bangor

Dr. Luke Gamble is an optometrist in Bangor who graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2011. During his training, he completed nine months of clinical medical externships in California and Utah.

Dr. Gamble brings clinical experience from two multi-specialty ophthalmology practices, where he participated in cataract surgery patient care and provided comprehensive eye care. He spent his clinical time at five naval bases in the San Diego area, helping care for the men and women who serve our country.

Dr. Gamble enjoys fitting all types of soft contact lenses and has a special interest in myopia management. He treats myopia with therapies that include soft contact multifocals, low-dose Atropine drops, and specialized glasses to help reduce myopia progression. He is a member of the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Gamble moved from the Portland, Oregon area in January 2012 and now lives in Bangor with his wife and five children. He enjoys the Maine outdoors and cooking with his family.
